Sunday 10th June - Siberia
260 miles in rain today. Bored of silver birches after 1400 miles of Siberia. Now at a fuel station / B + B with hot water (but no web). Hope to do 300 miles to Yekaterinburg tomorrow. Have just met the rally advanced party again, and the Beijing -Norwich pair as well. Apparently of the 126 starters, 90 left Mongolia under their own power!

Most impressed by your ability to reach such an elevated speed to justify a speeding ticket in an Austin 7!
Looking forward to greeting you in Paris in your ex Austin! ( Our son Luke tried to keep up with a Porsche in it yesterday, and was puzzled by the subsequent overheating. His girlfriend complained of seasickness induced by such excessive speed.....)
