So far a beautiful day, against forecast. Mileage now 4260, and just crossed another time zone, so now only 4 hours ahead.. Will drive for 2 hours more and stop for the night.
We now have a long list of repairs to be done: Windscreen support, rear axle oil seal, rad mounting, oil change, clean, check and tighten everything.
Later: We've just enjoyed a deserted, good road through lush forest in warm sun. Now we've stopped for the night between Perm and Kazan, but there is no hotel in the village however we've been taken in by a family to sleep on the floor. Fantastic.
Tomorrow should be a short day.
Much Later: Just had a traditional Banya (sauna), and were beaten with birch twigs by the hosts. Kip retaliated with bagpipes. All settled over vodka and tea.
